In this thread, we share stories of recent generally positive life experience, witnessing human beings in acts of generosity or kindness, and other stuff that reminds us that maybe not everyone is a selfish jerk and this world isn't entirely a crumbling ball of garbage and hate.
For me, my latest example would be from a couple evenings ago, when it was around -5 degrees outside, and I was doing some grocery shopping, and to make a long story short, someone took my cart when I was done with it rather than me having to walk it back. She even went out of her way to do it (I was farther from the grocery than she was), so I was particularly struck by the act.
A little thing, sure, but encouraging nonetheless.

The success of the recent protests in Tunisia and Egypt have inspired me!

Earlier this week my wife was at the grocery store, stocking up for the upcoming winter, and though intending to just pay with cash, actually came up a little short.
A man behind her paid the difference.
