Thought I'd pop a site down of my own here ;D I currently run a UK based website celebrating all things NES. Not as lofty a goal as NintendoLegend but I'm currently aiming towards a full set of reviews of PAL games. Thankfully there was only 288 or so! Besides that I have a pretty comprehensive database, magazine downloads as well as numerous articles. I set this up because there is next to nothing based on the NES for the UK despite it being a pretty huge market for Nintendo back then, one day I hope to have a huge resource for everything NES related. In the meantime feel free to stop by and see what you think: www.nes-bit.com/

Did a pretty big interview today with Ste Pickford who you might know from his games Solar Jetman, Wizards & Warriors 2/3 even the Sesame Street titles. He worked for Rare during the early days of the NES, have a read : www.nes-bit.com/?p=4328

For awhile I've been mulling over something extra to help promote the site and with a few helpful contributions it was suggested that a booklet or mini magazine could work. We actually have a professional graphic designer on board who will be doing all the page layouts, design work etc. The plan is to offer this at retro events and pass it on in future to any donators to the site rather than sell it with a cash value stamped to the front. So for example anyone donating a couple of quid to the site or writing an article would get a copy. With this in mind I'm trying my best to come up with as much decent and exclusive content as possible, the plan being that I won't reuse anything on the site. Of course I'm only 1 person and even I can't write everything plus keep the site going at the same time so I'm looking for some help. This is going to be available on the site for years to come and I plan to get a load printed in high quality (already contacted a firm), so it will get a lot of coverage. There's a lengthy thread over on the sites forum: LinkBut I'm looking for more help with writers or simply suggestions. What would people like to see in such a mag for example? Nintendo Legend has already volunteered to help out which I'm pretty stoked about We have a mockup of covers at the moment (the GB's round the side are just place holders so don't worry!) just to get an idea of what it could look like:

That question is going to haunt me: The Wizard or Super Mario Bros.? Which is the better film? It's painful, trying to consider...

That's why I'm only allowed to write the review for one, I like them both

Couple of page samples to show off what we have done so far things are really moving fast now. A lot of people have worked hard on this and it's really coming along nicely so I would rather the work speak for itself:: In case anyone is worried there's a good mix of PAL and US stuff, even mention of the GameBoy in a NES standoff. Tried to cover as much as possible for a first issue and think there's enough for all to enjoy!
