Ugh, I am so close!
The current record is a 35-run victory. The game institutes a mercy rule whereby the game ends if an inning ends and any team is up by 10 or more. Thus, you can run up the score to 9-0 at most before "going in for the kill," so to speak, and going for the record in the top of an inning, then hopefully making a defensive stop.
The computer opponent does not tend to substitute their pitcher until the top of the fifth, so you can take a 9-0 lead into the fourth, then start taking advantage of some really slow pitching, even gaining some beanballs.
I can fairly consistently get 20+ victories, but am not yet at a point where I can reliably crack 30. Inevitably, I just end up hitting a pop fly into an out or two or three, something that I cannot seem to stop from happening, despite trying to line up the pitch pixel-perfect with the known "sweet spot" on the bat.
That being said, I will just keep practicing and forge ahead. I want this one.

I'm jealous that you can do so well at this game. When playing against another person, I can manage. But playing against the computer.... whoooo.....
It makes me so angry cause I do so horrible! This is one of those games that I hate, but still want to play so I can win! Maybe someday I'll learn how to kick butt at it.
But I'm amazed that people such as yourself can play it so well! Good luck getting the world record and be sure to put the video up somewhere so we can all see it!

Well, hey, the attitude your desire to excel at a game despite hating it is probably more admirable than my eventual record!
