Aside from being somewhat inspired by NES games (though the top one gets more from Dwarf Fortress) and using the occasional snippet of NES material for posts, my various sites have little to nothing to do with gaming. Check my signature for links.
Number one is a daily, fictional diary by a poor guard named Dragomir. He shirks his duties on a regular basis, and suffers as a result. What he doesn't know is that he's actually part of a video game. Think The Sims, only with more swearing. A long-term fantasy/medieval/comedy story that will, if I can manage it, eventually incorporate visuals and should last three years. Eesh.
Number two is Weird Things We Found Online, where you're most likely to come across NES-related topics. Includes humorous and otherwise bizarre tidbits my girlfriend and I have come across online. Updated several times daily.
Number three is Questionable Quotes, a brand new site where I completely fabricate quotes from all manner of people, both real and not. It's primarily a chance for me to unload my random thoughts between other projects.
And, not listed on the signature, number four: The Dead Man's Burden. More serious than the rest, this novella is a once-weekly story about a dude who's becoming a zombie... and wants the rest of the world to enjoy his new point of view. Not so comedic as the other three, though hopefully still entertaining. If you like zombies, check it out.
